Christian Howard, MA, LPC- CCMHC Claimed

Christian Howard is a licensed professional counselor with certifications as a national board certified counselor and certified clinical mental health counselor. I am a transplant form San Bernardino, California with roots in Los Angeles. I spent my undergraduate years at The Illustrious Clark Atlanta University where I studied Psychology. I  later found received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015 (LPC track) from Argosy University with an emphasis on marriage family therapy, which led to her to be inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society. I am currently a PhD Candidate at The Chicago Professional School of Psychology studying International Psychology. I served in the Army reserves as a Non Commissioned Civil Affairs officer for 8 years.

I’ve worked with a variety of populations including but not limited to the LGBTQIAGNC community, minorities, those who are experiencing homelessness, individuals and families going through trauma and transitions, and undeserved children and adults. I enjoy working with couples and divorcees. Some modalities I use are person center approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care and other evidence based practices. I like to think of myself as being eclectic and utilizing tools in my tool box to give individuals and families the appropriate coping mechanism to navigate life and their stressors.
