As a therapist, I help people find a way to thrive in life; not just survive.  I love helping people make lemonade with the lemons life has thrown at them.  I create a confidential, judgment-free space where clients can be vulnerable and open to talk about life stressors and difficulties.  I work with my clients to craft a space where they can grow and learn tools and skills to incorporate into their lives over the long term; to help navigate life challenges and transitions.  

As a therapist of color, I focus on working with my clients of color to process the impact of being a POC in America today, and to explore how they can navigate the world while being unapologetically and authentically themselves, within the multiple systems they incorporate and live within. I am currently working with adults 18+.

While I believe therapy can be brief, it can also be a lengthy process that requires time and patience.  I meet the client where they are, and collaborate with them through the entire process – however long that takes.  I use many different approaches in session as everyone has different needs. With a collaborative, holistic, client-centered approach; my clients will be able to make and met goals to help them create a life where they are thriving and present.  A few of the modalities I use are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, motivational interviewing, (MI), person-centered, positive psychology, and strength-based approaches.

A few areas of focus I work with include anxiety, depression, parenting, life transitions, racial trauma, racial identity, complex trauma, and social injustices.
