I am the owner and primary therapist at Our Mosaic Therapy, and have served clients as a social worker, parent educator, and therapist for over 17 years. The past 5 years, I have been dedicated exclusively to my work in the therapist role. With a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology, certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I have a lot of tools in my tool bag to help clients with a wide-array of challenges to achieve their goals. I am particularly dedicated to ensuring minority populations, such as People of Color and LGBTQIA+, have a safe and accepting place to speak their truth, and get help from knowledgeable and respectful clinicians. I passionately believe that every person is valuable and beautifully unique and should be treated as such.
I work collaboratively with my clients to explore complex identity issues, strengthen challenging relationships, overcome obstacles to achievement in personal development, and re-establish stability and empowerment after personal and societal traumas.
A mosaic is beautiful art produced by arranging together many small colored pieces of hard material, such as stone, tile, or glass. With our work, I hope to help my clients create their life’s mosaic, taking the colorful and sometimes broken parts, learning how to manage the struggles, and shape them into something whole and beautiful.
